The company manufactures and markets a complete line of products through direct, commercial, retail, specialty and international channels. It’s brand portfolio includes Bowflex®, StairMaster®, Trimline® Schwinn® Fitness and Pearl iZUMi® apparel.

Objective

OpenCircle and long-time colleagues Direct Partners were tasked with devising and implementing a scalable web platform for Nautilius’ Bowflex product that delivers on four key requirements:

Collaboration

Nautilus realized an urgent need to connect with their customers via a community-oriented website. DirectPartners and OpenCircle designed, developed and implemented an intuitive CMS workflow that would allow members to participate in the company’s fitness community by:

• Creating custom online workouts
• Tracking workout results via graphical statistics
• Communicating directly with expert dietitians and trainers
• Submitting content and interacting with other members

Designed to expand the company’s product offerings, OpenCircle’s elegant web and server architecture easily supported millions of hits per month. Utilizing globally accessible backend administration, thousands of employees and cooperative professionals began interacting with Nautilus’ Bowflex customer base. Trial memberships were made available for the first time.
